We Believe

We Believe

That Jesus of Nazareth was the Christ, the Messiah, the only Begotten Son of God and the Saviour of the world. We believe that He came to seek and to save that which was lost; namely us. We believe He is our ONLY hope for salvation, our Joy, our Comfort, our Sweet Song.

We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a miraculous conception of the virgin by visitation of the Holy Ghost of God. We believe that He lived a sinless life as a man and that He suffered a cruel death on the cross of Calvary for the sins of the world. We believe that He died and was buried. We believe that He arose from the dead by the power of the Almighty God and that this resurrection took place exactly three days and three nights from his death as He himself proclaimed.

We believe that a true profession of faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of God–crucified for our sin and resurrected for our salvation–is all that is necessary for the believer to be miraculously transmitted into the Kingdom of God for all eternity. We believe this miracle of mercy and grace is without condition and is not reversible. We believe that in this is demonstrated the perfect mercy and grace of our precious, redeeming Father.

We believe that those who do not know Jesus as their own Lord will suffer an eternity seperated from God in the place reserved for Satan and his angels; Hell. We believe that Hell is an eternal place of torment, of fire that is never quenched. We believe that there is no turning back or saving out of Hell. We believe that every person can make a free choice to choose Jesus Christ or to choose Hell.

We believe that although saved by the grace of God, that the believer may occasionally sin, but that if he confesses his sin that God is faithful and just to forgive him his sin and to cleanse him of all unrighteousness. We believe that while such sin may occur, that the true believer will experience intense Godly sorrow for his or her sin and will seek to go forth in his life and to sin no more.

We believe that there is no power of Hell that will prevail against the merciful pull of the Father God to His Son Jesus Christ, of all those that the Father would see saved. We believe that all the sinner must do is to repent of his sins, to accept the Lord Jesus Christ and to believe in his heart that God has raised him from the dead to receive this great and precious gift of eternal salvation.

“This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.” (1 Timothy 1:15)
